The Bioloid Premium Kit from Robotis of South Korea can be used to experiment with a huge variety of forms, and with some standard layouts like humanoid and hexapod. The Bioloid Premium is outstanding for education, competition, and robotics training. It comes with a software suite that even allows "motion training" like industrial robots, where you move the components and the motions can be remebered and combined.
